1476 (Rayleigh) Squadron is a squadron of the Air Training Corps, based in Rayleigh, Essex.
[edit] Command Structure
The squadron is part of Essex Wing. The Squadrons Commanding Officer is Flight Lt. Doug Norman who took command in March 2006 after the previous commander, Flt Lt George Capon, was promoted to Squadron Leader & became officer Commanding at 614 Volunteer Gliding Squadron.
The commanding officer is supported many staff including 2 Squadron Warrant Officers, 3 Adult Sergeants, 7 Civilian Instructors & the squadron padre and a civillian committee.

The squadron parades between 19:00 and 21:45 every Monday and Friday night in premises.
