The squadron re-opened 24th June 2016 following a short temporary closure for reorganisation. Since then the squadron has grown and continues to attract adventurous young people.

Cadets and staff from 68 (Westbury) Squadron have supported many local events with car parking and charity activities. Helping with events such as Castle Combe Raceway, as well raising money or supporting charities like the Lions Club, Royal Air Force Association and more recently the Soldiers Sailors Air Force Association. The fedback from organisers has praised the behaviour and dedication of our young people, a fact regularly voiced by the new officer commanding, Flt Lt. John Gillespie RAFVR(T).

New cadets are always welcome from the age of 12, and in Year 8, so if your child wishes to take advantage of the exciting activities such as powered flying, competitive target shooting, Duke of Edinburgh's Award, map and compass, campcraft, leadership and many more unbelievable activities then please visit the squadron located on West End Road, Westbury.

The hard work and commitment seen by the staff and senior Cadet NCO's over the last few months has enabled cadets to experience a much wider range of activities than would be experienced through school, and the result of this is the squadron going from strength to strength plus opened up a wider variety of activities for the cadets to participate, plus they have encouraged them to take up as many activities the ATC offer outside of the Squadron.

Parade nights are Wednesday and Friday Evenings for 7.00pm to 9.30pm.
