A Commissioned officer or simply officer is a person who holds a commission issued by the Queen to serve in the Armed Forces.

All officers in the Air Cadet Organisation are part of the Training Branch of the RAF Volunteer Reserves (RAFVR(T) for short).
Each Air Training Corps squadron and Combined Cadet Force (RAF Section) is commanded by an RAFVR(T) officer.
