Officers in the Air Training Corps are Volunteer Reserve Training (VRT), and as such are subject to military law and regulations. This does not mean that they fulfill the same role as a Volunteer Reserve (VR) Officer, if the VR(T) Officers are called to do active service they would ocuppy administerial roles in the armed forces.
