Shooting & MarksmanshipEdit
Air Cadets have the ability to fire three different rifles within the organisation: the No 8 rifle; L98A2 Cadet GP Rifle; and the L81A2 target rifle. There are some age restrictions on the weapons, however all cadets have the chance to fire, upon passing a Weapons Handling Test (WHT) on that rifle. WHTs are valid for six months on each rifle. After some practice, cadets have the opportunity to shoot for four different marksmanship awards:
which are listed in order of increasing difficulty. Additionally, there is a fifth award: Cadet 100.
