Any officer within the ACO who is below the rank of Group Captain is an officer in the Royal air Force Reserve (Training Branch)[RAFVR(T)]. These officers wear the VRT insignia over their rank slide when in uniform, distinguishing them from regular officers. Officers in the RAFVR(T) are still commissioned officers, and are saluted by junior ranks.
